Victor S. Cuiss was a dedicated servant who served the Jackson Community College Board of Trustees for many years. Cuiss graduated from Jackson High School and Jackson Junior College before serving in World War II. Upon his return, he finished his degree and played golf at Albion College. Cuiss was owner and president of Jackson Plumbing & Heating Supply Company and served on the JCC Board of Trustees from 1974-1998. The College dedicated the fieldhouse in Cuiss’ honor in 1999.
An accomplished golfer who was known as “Mr. Golf,” Cuiss served as the chairman of the Jackson Golf Committee for 32 years. He was instrumental in creating the Jackson Golf Hall of Fame, of which he is a member. In addition, Cuiss served on a number of boards and commissions.
